Turn Off the TV
Encourage your children
to Celebrate National Library Week
(April 13-19) by turning off the TV and reading or participating in a
non-TV, or non-screen activity. Students that are able to accomplish this
for at least 3 nights, need to
bring a note from their parents to the
Media
Center
which states what their child(ren) did instead of watching TV. All
participants will receive a certificate and prize for their efforts!
According to tvturnoff.org children spend
more time in front of the TV during the year than going to school. Give our
students a chance to think, read, create and do -
so turn-off the TV and “Turn On Life.” TV Turn-Off week is supported
by the National Education Association, The American Medical Association, and
the
American
Academy
of Pediatrics.
